Mindfulness is an ability to know at any given point of time what’s happening in your Head rather than get caught up into it. It's about bringing attention to an experience in the present moment. It’s about being an Observer to our Thoughts rather than being possessed by our Thoughts.
Research shows that you can train your ability to become more mindful. It does not take hours of meditation per day. What is far more important is the right mindset and intention to experience the moment fully. Mindfulness comes in moments.
I strongly believe that we build mindfulness by carefully integrating it into our day-to-day living. It’s there in the smell of a rose, in the taste of the sandwich we eat and the words that others speak. It’s everywhere.
The ability to be present and mindful — to stay focused intentionally without passing judgment — is a 21st-century skill. Businesses with mindful teams are better equipped to compete in today’s ever-changing environment.
Mindfulness is a way to cultivate a more balanced relationship to oneself in relation to the realities of life.
While mindfulness is something we all naturally possess, it’s more readily available to us when we practice on a daily basis.
